Vitamin Cottage Cycling Team
The Vitamin Cottage Cycling team is one of the strongest in the Rocky Mountain region. I'm very proud to be a member of this well rounded squad. A big thanks goes out to all of our sponsors who keep us rolling year after year. The team would not be possible without the countless hours of work done by our volunteer team staff that organize all of sponsorship and logistics.

The Cast of 2005:
Joe Taddeucci- Joe pretty much runs the show with our elite team, he keeps us all informed and in-line. Without him our squad would not be what it is today. Look out for Joe on the road in 2004, he's motivated and has threatened to make it his last year. Also look out for Joe's newest cheerleader, his daughter Leah. I heard Leah doing some off-season cheer practice in March and she will definitely have the goods this summer.

*Andy Bajadali*- New for 2005 "the Baj" has hooked up with the Vitamin Cottage Cycling Team. Andy brings in some real horsepower for local races and has already shown that he can fill the role team worker or team leader. His 9th place on GC at Redlands the year confirms that the Cottage is now force to be reconed with at the national level as well as in local events.

Dirk Friel- Dirk was a valuable asset added in mid-2003. Dirk's extensive racing as a pro will play a major role on the road this year. Dirk has been training more than last year and completed his first Ironman in South Africa in March..

Alan McCormack- This pint-sized Irishman has a history and sprint that would leave most people breathless. Alan and his wife Kim have started organizing bicycle tours in Ireland this year so look for Alan to be a force to reckoned with again this year.

Christian McCarthy- This guy is pretty much "the MAN". One look at his impressive number of race wins in 2003 says it all. If Christian finds those legs again I think we are all in for epic 2005. Watch out, Christian's son Zach seems to be developing the tree-trunk legs that his dad has.

Chuck Coyle- Chuck's back for another year with the VC boys. If you could sum up Chuck in one word it would be HORSEPOWER. I've also never heard the guy let one bit of trash talk come out his mouth. He's yet another big asset to our squad. Don't miss Chuck's reports on the DailyPeloton.Com as well as his awesome website TheProsStuff.com

Michael Schilling- Michael, a resident of Summit County, has proven his worth to the squad in 2004 and returns as key player in 2005. Michael has already proved himself to be a fast learner and is getting stronger every race. Look for him to be a worker bee who could be on the podium by the end of the season.

Chad Taylor- Chad upgraded from the Vitamin Cottage 3's team at the end of last year and has been showing dramatic improvement in 2005. Chad played a significant role in Dirk Friel's early season win at the Koppenburg circuit race. Keep an eye on this guy for 2005 and 2006.

Sean Bragstad- If there has been one thing missing on the squad over the past three years it's been someone like Shawn. Shawn is yet another ex-pro who is giving the amateur ranks a try again. Look for his kids to be whooping it up in the Cottage Playpen this year as well. Along with Shawn came his shop Vecchio's. We are exstatic to have both on board for 2004. Don't forget to check out Vecchio's, where the service area is the shop!

Joey Pinkerton- Joey has been on the Vitamin Cottage squad much longer than anyone else. He worked his way up from the Junior ranks to the elite team. His dad, Bob Pinkerton has been a long-time leader on the team. Each year Joey seems to progress a little bit more. I'd look for Joey to have a breakout year as his life has finally stabilized since finishing college. To complete the family atmoshpere Joey is also working for his father. Watch out for a potent father/son combo in some of the smaller races!

Ben Huff- Ben has really stepped up to the plate this year. While still being an honorary member of the squad Ben has taken over as our team photographer and media director. Make sure to check out his website, Benjamin Huff Photography.

Other Teams

TIAA-CREF - This DIII team will become a real pain in every ones butt as they will almost always have guy or two in every major move all year long. I'd love to name few guys to watch out for but I can't. If they have the jersey they're a rider to watch.

Torelli/Schwab- An up and coming team last year they have a solid roster for 2005. I think the dark horse of this team Jeff Dickenson is always a guy to watch as he never shys away from a pull. Also watch out for a quick finish from Grayson Pointer, he's already made himself known as threat for 2005..

Al's Barber Shop/ GS CIAO- This team has been around for years and had quite a few big names roll through it's ranks, just ask Chris Wherry what the last amateur team he rode for was. This year Max Clausen will be back with a vengeance. Frank Overton will be one to watch as well, even though he claims to be a working man. The head of the team, Chad Moore, is making a real effort at getting some big results this so keep your eye on that guy. And you can't forget about crit whores Jim Thies and Josh Barnett, both serious threats when you're going around in circles.

Rio Grande / Monsoon- Not really sure who's on it this year and who's not. If they're back Jon Stierwalt, Joby Siciliano, and Chris Stockbuger are super power packed group. Chris Brennan has been added and is sure to be a climbing sensation.

Pro Peloton- This team has gone a diet this year and will be much stronger because of it. Jon Baker has come out with crazy form again this season, "the Chess Master" will most likely be riping leggs off all year long again.. Along with him will be perennial favorite Jeff Hartman. These two stand out as some of the more cordial racers in the bunch. Also watch for Kelly Rudick when the going gets dizzy in the mid season crits. Micheal Larson and Jack Seehaffer will be there to support and thrive on their own when given the chance. A new addition for 2005 is my old collegiate teammate Micah Thompson. I think Micah is in for an epic season this year after some busy and rough times over the last few.
